JAN-701B ECDIS system

FEATURES

The JAN-701B is a newly developed multi-functional ECDIS. It is ergonomically designed to enhance the working environment and man/machine interfaces, providing continuous position and navigational safety information.

RADAR OVERLAY

The JRC JAN-701B offers practical radar usage with ECDIS, more than just overlaying a rough radar image. The radar image has a high resolution when interfaced with JRC radars. The radar image does not hide the priority objects of vector charts, but overlays them on the radar image. At the same time, brilliance and clutter controls of the radar images continues to be operable.

AIS TARGETS

The AIS is an important key device used to indicate AIS target symbol and information on the ECDIS. These targets are very useful, as it provides the maneuvering conditions of other ships at a glance, allowing for safe and effective navigation. The name of the vessels, and bearing, range, speed, length, heading and much more AIS target specifics from other ships are received and displayed. The AIS symbols are continuously displayed on-screen without the influence of the radar characteristics. The AIS targets are never shielded by ground, rain or cloud reflections, nor are they eliminated by adjustments of anti-sea or anti-rain clutter.

Also, it is easy to active, deactivate and switch between AIS target symbols. This simply can be done with an integrated AIS filter, prioritising the targets within a dedicated area.

MULTI-VIEW

Multiple and wide screen viewing is possible with the new JAN-701B. You can divide the chart screen into two sections, in which the same or different charts can be displayed, in a mixture of ways. In this field of view, it provides a ‘look-ahead’ capability, especially useful in coastal areas. With the wide screen view function, an additional screen in the display area, showing a segment of the chart, allows viewing at a glance.

CONNING AND EXTERNAL SENSORS

You can easily connect a wide range of navigation equipment to acquire more information. The ECDIS will display exactly the info you need in a clear, uncluttered format, reducing the risk of accidents. This results in a more relaxing and secure operation. Even equipment from different manufacturers can be incorporated.

JAN-2000 ECDIS system

FEATURES

The new high performance ECDIS represents a significant step change in terms of cost-effectiveness. The new JAN-2000 is a high-performance and fully type approved ECDIS system with excellent on-screen menus, which will greatly shorten most users’ learning period.

COST-EFFECTIVE SOLUTION

The new JAN-2000 ECDIS system is fully type approved, and because of its controlled interface it is also highly cost-effective. It only has gyro, log, GPS 1 & 2 and AIS as standard. TCS and radar overlay is not possible. This makes the JAN-2000 an economical and well-fitted ECDIS solution yet still integrates the high performance standard you would expect from JRC.

AIS TARGETS

The AIS is an important key device used to indicate AIS target symbol and information on the ECDIS. JMA-900B Chart Radar

FEATURES

The new JMA-900B chart radar combines JRC’s renowned radar and highly advanced ECDIS technology, providing reliable performance and significantly improves situation awareness.

CONSTAVIEW

The second generation and patented Constaview™ is realised through the use of three high-speed processors (in-house Tornado™ technology). All info gathered by the radar is fully processed within a few milliseconds before displayed, generating a smooth image rotation when sailing in Head-Up mode. When changing to North-Up, the new radar image is displayed without any delay caused by the scanner rotation. Constaview™ works in radar mode. In chart-radar mode, radar images are displayed with regular intervals.

SELECT A TRAIL LENGTH

Other ship’s movement and speed can be monitored from length and direction of their trails, primary serving for collision avoidance. The JMA-900B series integrate three different trail length modes, that will show a ship’s course instantly, a unique operational feature that allows for more flexibility. Example real-time processing on the left.

JMA-2343 2344 Marine Radar

FEATURES

The JMA-2300 radar series from JRC is in two models available, the JMA-2343, which has a 4kW radome, and the JMA-2344, which features a 3.9″, 6kW open-array configuration. Both configurations utilise the latest in digital signal processing for excellent target identification and detection in a compact design.

The 10″ CRT incorporates soft keys designed to make menu selections easy and fast. The high quality of the display provides outstanding target definition and discrimination. In additional, an optional MARPA function allows you to track other vessels while displaying their course and speed.

GPS CONNECTIVITY

The JRC JMA-2300 series allows connecting to navigation equipment, such as GPS, which provides on-screen the exact location of the ship (numerical value) or a mark on the waypoints. This will show the difference between the bearing of a waypoint and the ship’s heading at a glance.

EASY ACCESS TO EBL AND VRM

EBL and VRM are frequently used means. JRC has integrated these on the JMA-2300 series, equipped with dedicated switches.
